Frequently Asked Questions

1. What age groups and subjects do you cover?
We provide tutoring for both Primary and Secondary school students. Our core subjects include GCSE Maths and English, and specialised exam preparation for the 11 Plus, SATS, and general Exam Preparation courses.
2. Do you offer support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes, absolutely. Supporting SEN learners, including those with conditions like dyslexia and dysgraphia, is one of our major strengths. We adapt our teaching techniques, resources, and pace to cater specifically to your child’s learning style and ensure they achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.
3. How do you tailor the tutoring session for my child?
We begin with an Assessment for Learning to understand your child's current level and needs. Based on this, we set SMART Targets (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Trackable) and prepare personalised resources to resolve misconceptions and build confidence.
4. Do you offer 1-to-1 or group tutoring?
We offer both. You can choose focused 1-to-1 tuition or select our small group sessions (typically 2–3 children), which foster a collaborative and engaging learning environment. Both options are available online or face-to-face.
5. What are your tutoring locations?
We provide face-to-face tutoring in Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, and surrounding areas in the West Midlands. We also offer highly effective online tutorials, allowing students to learn from the comfort of their home.
6. What is the first step to booking a tutor?
The first step is to Book a Free Consultation. This session includes a free 30-minute assessment where we can discuss your child's educational background, their specific goals, and recommend the best plan for moving forward.
7. What are the qualifications of your tutors?
Our tutors are experienced and dedicated professionals with a proven track record of helping students excel. All our tutors hold an enhanced DBS disclosure status, ensuring a safe and trustworthy learning environment.
8. Do you provide homework and parental feedback?
Yes. We believe in open communication. We set relevant homework linked to the session material to reinforce learning and provide parents with regular, constructive feedback and guidance on how to support their child at home.
9. Do you offer tuition during school holidays?
Yes. We offer flexible hours and days throughout the year. This includes specialised Booster Courses for intensive exam preparation and “Catch Up” Holiday Courses during half term and Easter breaks.
10. How can I find out about your prices?
Our pricing structure for 1-to-1 and small group packages is detailed on our Prices page. We encourage you to first book a free consultation so we can recommend the most effective and cost-efficient plan tailored to your child’s goals.
